Are your teeth stained, chipped or not aligned?
Veneers could be the perfect solution for hiding imperfections, providing a natural-looking smile that will leave you feeling confident to eat, drink and socialise like you deserve.
Have you got discoloured or damaged teeth that are having an impact on the way you feel about yourself?
Dental veneers are an increasingly popular dental treatment for those who lack confidence in their smile. They offer a long-term solution to damaged or heavily stained teeth and can last many years if well taken care of.
Are veneers right for you?
Veneers make it possible to transform severely crowded, crooked, or badly damaged teeth into a pleasing and confident smile.
The treatment involves thin, bespoke plastic resin or porcelain shells being placed on the front of the teeth. Since they are made to measure, the colour, shape and size are all made to fit you and your smile, making for a natural looking finish.
A veneer can be used to restore one tooth, or multiple veneers can be used to create an entirely new smile which can last for up to 10 years. They are strong, and so are carefully made to fit around your natural bite.
However, because the process is usually irreversible, we always carry out a thorough assessment and investigation to ensure veneers are the best treatment option for you.
How are veneers fitted?
Here at Ravenscourt Dental, our veneer treatment process requires a total of two appointments.
At your first appointment, we’ll clean your teeth and determine the correct shade and size of your veneer taking precise measurements, as well as contouring the tooth slightly if required by removing a very small amount of your tooth enamel.
From here we shall make an impression of your tooth which we will use to custom craft your veneer. To protect your tooth during the gap between your first and second visit, we’ll fit temporary veneers.
Once we’ve created your custom veneers, we’ll arrange your second appointment so that the temporary veneer can be removed, the tooth cleaned, and the area prepared before the adhesive, cement and veneers are fitted precisely.
Once fitted and cured, we will polish and clean your veneers, making sure they give your smile that beautiful gleam you were looking for.

No. This is a common misconception, however dental veneers work to do the opposite. They can enhance the look of the natural tooth, whilst protecting any previous exposure, giving you the confidence to eat, socialise and smile like you deserve.
Some treatments can cause tooth sensitivity, but veneers should not do this. That’s because veneers actually cover up the natural surface of the tooth, thus protecting it from hot and cold temperatures which are common triggers of tooth sensitivity.

Although opting for dental veneers can feel like a big life changing step, the good news is that once in place, they can last for many years. Generally speaking, your new dental veneers in London should last between 10-15 years. However, with good care and by attending regular routine appointments, you could enjoy your new smile for up to 20 years!
If you do have issues with your veneers or the time has come to get them replaced, doing so needn’t be invasive either. In fact, replacing existing veneers is easy and can be done much like your first set, so there’s no unexpected surprises involved.
Dental veneers are most commonly used for those with heavily stained teeth but are also used for those with chipped teeth or to fix gaps within an individual’s smile. They may not be suitable if your oral health is compromised though, so an initial consultation will be required so that we can put a plan in place that will yield the best results for you.
